Rosy Pear Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    4 to 6 fresh firm pears, peeled, cored and quartered
    2 medium oranges, peeled and quartered
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and ginger.
    Bring to a boil.
    Place pears and oranges in a baking dish and pour cooked mixture over fruit.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 about 40 minutes or until tender.
    Serve slightly warm as a side dish or place in pretty compotes and serve as a dessert with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream on top.
