Ground Chuck Chop Suey - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 3 Tbsp. fat or oil
2 c. celery, cut in thin 1-inch strips
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 lb. ground chuck
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. chopped cabbage
4 c. cooked rice or 1 1/3 c. uncooked
Preparation

Heat fat in a large frypan.
Add celery, onion and ground chuck and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until meat begins to brown.
Blend cornstarch with water and stir into beef mixture.
Add bouillon cube, soy sauce and salt.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and clear. Stir in cabbage.
Cook, covered, about 3 to 8 minutes, until cabbage is tender, but still firm.
Serve on rice.
Serves 6.
