Ingredients

3 pt. blackberries
3/4 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
milk
Preparation

Combine
first
four
ingredients in pan and let stand. Sift dry
ingredients
in
a bowl, add egg and enough milk to make
a stiff batter.
Place first mixture on stove and bring to
a
boil. Drop
dumpling
batter
by teaspoonfuls into hot sauce, reduce heat
and
cover with a lid.
Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
Can
be served with cream, ice cream, whipped cream or yogurt.
