Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
pinch of salt
2 1/4 c. milk
3 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 baked pie crust
Preparation

In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt. In a medium bowl, beat butter, vanilla, egg yolks and milk until smooth. Stir into sugar mixture. (Reserve egg whites for meringue.) Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly so it thickens evenly and prevents lumps and scorching. Pour filling into crust. Top with meringue, sealing edges. Brown meringue.
