Great-Grandmother Minnie'S Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    3 Tbsp. warm water
    1 c. lukewarm water
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
Preparation
    In a bowl, sift the flour. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in 3 tablespoons of warm water. Add the lukewarm water, shortening, sugar and egg. Slowly add the flour, blending well. Refrigerate overnight.
