"Grandma Black'S Dumplings" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cut Crisco into flour to which baking powder has been added. Add milk and water.
    Makes thick dough.
    Roll out fairly thin. Flour top and bottom of dough.
    Cut up in small squares and let sit about 30 minutes or longer.
    Drop in boiling chicken broth and just cook a minute or so.
    Deboned chicken may be added or served separately.
