Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
    3/4 c. sour milk or 2 tsp. vinegar in sweet milk
    1 c. berry preserves
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.
    Add milk and berry preserves.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture. Last of all add vanilla and 1 1/2 teaspoons soda dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
