Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 1/4 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
3 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream the butter and shortening.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beat after each addition.
Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
Add alternately with milk. Add flavoring.
Pour in tube pan and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300\u00b0.
