Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) cooled pie shell
    2 pt. fresh strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (3 oz.) strawberry jello
    1/4 tsp. salt
    whipped cream
Preparation
    In medium saucepan stir sugar, water, salt and cornstarch. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute (until thick and glossy).
    Remove from heat and stir in jello.
    Let cool to medium temperature.
    Place half berries in pie shell.
    Place 1/2 filling over berries.
    Add remaining berries to pie and cover with remaining filling.
    Chill for 2 to 3 hours.
    Serve with whipped cream.
