Date Roll Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 can Pet milk
1 box chopped dates
2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
pinch of soda
Preparation

Cook sugar, Pet milk and dates to soft ball stage, stirring constantly.
Add nuts, margarine, vanilla, salt and soda.
Let cool until cool enough to work with.
Sift powdered sugar on wax paper; work up candy and divide into 4 parts.
Roll into long rolls and wrap each tightly in wax paper.
Refrigerate.
Slice when ready to eat.
