Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 stick butter
    4 eggs, separated
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Stir milk into cornmeal, sugar and salt in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick as mush; remove from heat. Stir in butter. Beat egg yolks slightly. Mix some of the hot mixture to the eggs before stirring the eggs into saucepan, mixing well. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into cornmeal mixture. Pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole \"floured\" with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Serve hot with butter. A truly Southern dish.
