Long John Silver Fish Batter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. soda
3/4 c. water
Preparation

Beat egg with a little water.
Sift together flour, baking powder, cornstarch and soda.
Add to egg mixture with remaining water.
Mix well.
Cut fish into strips or small pieces, then salt.
Dip fish into batter and fry for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown in deep hot fat.
