Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugars and milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches the soft ball stage.
    Add butter; do not stir.
    Set aside to cool.
    When cooled, add vanilla, pour into bowl and beat until ready to spread.
    Nuts may be added before spreading.
