Appalachian Red Grape Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. red grapes
    6 c. sugar
    4 c. apple cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Peel skins off grapes and set aside.
    Simmer peeled grapes in a saucepan until tender.
    Remove from heat and remove seeds with a drainer spoon.
    Add skins, vinegar and sugar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1/2 hour.
    Add cinnamon and cloves and boil for 10 minutes.
    Pour into sterilized canning jars and seal tightly.
    Store in cellar or a cool, dry place.
    Yields 1 1/2 quarts.
