Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

In mixer bowl, beat butter or margarine at medium speed for 30 seconds.
Add sugar and beat until combined.
Add eggs and maple flavoring; beat at low speed just until combined.
Stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to sugar mixture and mix until blended.
Stir in finely chopped coconut and the nuts. Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
