Noel Tortoni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
    1/4 c. chopped toasted almonds
    2 Tbsp. chopped red and green maraschino cherries
    1 tsp. rum extract
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    1/2 c. M&M's (plain)
    whipped cream
    additional M&M's for decorating
Preparation
    Cut ice cream into large chunks and place in a well-chilled bowl.
    Stir quickly until smooth.
    Stir in almonds, cherries, extracts and nutmeg.
    Fold in candies.
    Spoon into 2 1/2-inch fluted paper or foil baking cups in muffin pan.
    Freeze.
    Serve plain or top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and a few additional candies.
    Makes 8 servings.
