Wedding Cake Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box powdered sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. instant milk or powdered milk
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 egg white
    1 tsp. almond or vanilla flavoring
    water (up to 1/2 c.)
Preparation
    Cream shortening with powdered sugar, instant milk and cornstarch.
    Add egg and mix.
    Add water 1 tablespoon at a time. Leave stiff enough to allow flavoring.
    Leave very stiff if using for decorations; extra powdered sugar may be added if not stiff enough.
    Use large bowl and standard mixer, not hand or portable mixer.
