Quick Cherry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 can cherry pie filling
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
    Add almond extract.
    Stir in flour and baking powder.
    Butter 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Turn mixture into pan. Spoon pie filling into the cake in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each direction.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, until cake tests done.
    Place bottom side up on serving plate.
    Dust with powdered sugar.
