Meat Loaf Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2-lbs. lean ground beef or ground chuck
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    3/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 Tbsp. dried parsley
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9X5-inch loaf pan with foil. Spray foil with cooking spray. Combine milk and egg in a large bowl; add bread crumbs, basil, parsley and pepper. Stir until blended. Add onion and bell pepper, mix well. Add beef and mix to combine ingredients. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Do not pack. Spread topping over meat loaf. Bake until cooked through, about 1 hour. Remove from oven to wire rack. Let stand for 5 minutes. Lift meat loaf out of pan and place on serving platter, remove foil. Can prepare ahead as recipe directs, cover and keep refrigerated for 2 days. Serve cold or reheat in warm oven.
