Best Little Cookie In Texas(Circa 1954) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
8 c. pecans, chopped
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. raisins
3 c. flour
1 1/4 c. butter, melted
2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. water

Preparation

Cream eggs and sugar.
Stir in cinnamon and cloves.
Combine pecans, dates, raisins and flour; add to sugar mixture.
Beat well.
Gradually beat in butter.
Mix soda in water and add to dough.
Mix thoroughly.
This dough must be stiff.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 275\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Yields 20 dozen small cookies.
