Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 well beaten egg
    1 c. All-Bran
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 1/2 c. mashed banana
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and bran and mix together.
    Combine water and bananas.
    Add to mixture, alternating with sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour in a wax paper lined 5 x 9-inch pan.
    (Grease and flour sides of baking pan; any 100% bran may be used.)
