Bread And Butter Pickles(Microwave) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 small cucumbers, sliced thin
2 medium onions, sliced
1/4 c. canning salt
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. peppercorns
Preparation

Combine cucumbers and onions in a large bowl.
Layer with salt.
Cover with ice and let stand 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Drain and rinse.
(Prepare canning jars and lids according to manufacturer's instructions.)
Combine vinegar, sugar and seasonings in a large microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on High, uncovered, 6 to 7 minutes or until mixture boils, stirring once during cooking time.
Add cucumbers and onions.
Return, covered, to microwave and continue cooking on High until mixture returns to boil, about 12 to 14 minutes, stirring twice during cooking time.
Carefully ladle into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
Process jars of pickles for 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
