Spicy Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small chopped onion
    2 to 4 cloves garlic
    6 c. broth
    2 (14 oz.) cans chopped tomatoes
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    3 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin
    2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    juice of 2 limes
    1/2 to 1 c. shredded chopped chicken
    1/2 to 1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
    1 c. broken tortilla chips
Preparation
    Boil chopped onion, garlic and broth.
    Add tomatoes, chilies, cilantro and cumin.
    Stir, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add water, salt, pepper, sugar, lime juice and chicken.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add cheese and chips when ready to eat.
    Put cheese and chips in a bowl and fill with soup.
    Put cilantro on top.
