Cheese Scalloped Carrots - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 medium carrots
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 small onion, minced
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, grated or sliced thin
1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Prepare carrots and slice.
Heat carrots, water and salt. Cover and cook 5 minutes.
Drain.
Saute onion in butter.
Blend in flour and seasonings.
Add milk gradually, stirring until thick.
Alternate layers in 1 1/2-quart casserole of carrots and cheese, ending with carrots.
Pour sauce over and top with crumbs. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
