Quick Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 (15 to 16 oz.) can pie fruit (cherry, apple, etc.)
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
Preparation
    Combine 1/4 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk.
    Pour into an 8 x 8 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan.
    In saucepan, heat the fruit, 1 cup sugar and butter until hot.
    Pour over batter and bake 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Serve warm plain or topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
