Boiled Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. milk
1 stick cinnamon
5 egg yolks
5 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put milk and cinnamon in top of double boiler.
Heat milk until tiny bubbles appear around edges.
Beat egg yolks slightly with fork.
Stir in sugar and salt.
Add milk slowly, stirring constantly to avoid cooked egg specks.
Return to double boiler and cook over hot but not boiling water.
Stir constantly until thick enough to coat a spoon.
Remove cinnamon and add vanilla.
Cool and refrigerate.
