Rock Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix sugar and syrup in large saucepan.
    Stir over medium heat, boiling for 5 minutes.
    Test in a cup of cold water until it threads.
    Remove from heat, then add color and flavor.
    Grease pan with butter and pour candy into pan.
    Let cool and then break into pieces.
