Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins
4 c. boiling water
3 Tbsp. shortening
3 tsp. salt
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
10 c. flour
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and raisins. Add sugar, shortening, salt and molasses. Cool to lukewarm.
Add yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Add 5 cups flour and beat well. Add 5 more cups of flour.
Knead well.
Let rise until double.
Knead down.
Let rise again, then put in tins and let rise.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
