Prune Cake Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    3 whole eggs
    1 c. buttermilk plus 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in it
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. prunes, cooked and mashed
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 c. maraschino cherries, cut up
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Bake in a stem cake pan.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Punch holes in cake with a fork.
    Pour sauce over cake while hot.
