Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter, unsalted
    5 c. flour, unsifted
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Grease 4 x 8-inch round cake pans or 1 (10 x 20-inch) pan, warm butter until it flows.
    In large mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar with beater at medium speed until light and fluffy.
    Mix in flour 1 cup at a time until well mixed.
    Pat evenly in pan or pans with hands.
    Prick dough with fork all over. Bake 1 hour or until pale and golden, do not brown.
    Cool in pans.
