Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    ____ c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour (2 c. saved for fruit)
    6 eggs
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 lb. cherries
    1 lb. pineapple
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter.
    Add eggs, 2 at a time.
    Add flour, 1/3 at a time.
    Mix fruit and nuts last.
    Cook in tube cake pan 2 1/2 to 3 hours at 250\u00b0.
