Soft Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vinegar
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine, at room temperature
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. light molasses
1/4 c. boiling water
Preparation

Grease bottom and sides of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
To milk, add vinegar and stir.
Set aside to sour and thicken.
Onto waxed paper, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy.
Gradually add sugar.
Add beaten eggs, 1/2 at a time.
Mix molasses and boiling water.
Stir in gradually.
*Add 1/4 flour mixture and mix well.
Add 1/3 sour milk and blend.
*Repeat, ending with flour mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream.
