Homestead Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. sliced green bell pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. or less chili powder
    2 (10 oz.) cans chili beef soup
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with green pepper, onion and chili powder in heavy saucepan, stirring until ground beef is crumbly.
    Drain. Add soup, undrained tomatoes, undrained beans and water.
    Mix well.
    Simmer for 15 minutes or longer.
    May omit water and/or tomato juice and serve in taco shells if preferred.
    Yields 4 servings.
