Spicy Spinach Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. fresh or frozen spinach
    1/3 c. milk
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. minced onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. whipping cream
    3/4 c. grated cheese
    2 Tbsp. minced jalapeno or to taste
    4 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 container sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    If using fresh spinach, cook on medium-high until spinach wilts, about 5 minutes.
    While cooking, add the garlic clove (minced) and sprinkle with salt and a little oil or butter.
    Add milk to spinach and puree.
