Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. diet lean ground chuck
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 c. oil
    3 medium onions, chopped
    2 medium size cans red kidney beans
    2 medium size cans tomato sauce
Preparation
    Saute onions and peppers in oil until tender.
    Add ground chuck and just brown it.
    Add tomato sauce, spices, salt and pepper to taste.
    (You may want to increase the quantity of garlic powder and chili powder if you like spicy chili).
    Simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
    Add kidney beans and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
    Add cheese and stir gently until melted.
