Ingredients

2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3/4 c. shortening
4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. fresh figs, mashed well
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
Preparation
-
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add dry ingredients and mashed figs.
Mix well; add nuts.
Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.
Bake 1 hour more or less.
Do not cut for at least 24 hours.
This freezes well.
