Frosted Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. hot coffee
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. hot water
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. each: cloves, nutmeg and salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream well sugar, eggs and shortening.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    With creamed mixture in bowl, alternately add dry ingredients and the coffee, molasses and hot water mixture until smooth.
    Bake in 10 x 14-inch pan for 15 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Cool and frost with thin butter icing.
