Sour Red Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
    4 c. drained sour cherries
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/4 c. cherry juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, 1/4 cup cherry juice and food color in a saucepan.
    Cook to a rolling boil.
    Add cherries and butter.
    Cook 2 minutes.
    Make a smooth paste of cornstarch and 1/4 cup cherry juice.
    Add this to cherry mixture and stir well until thickened. Cool before adding to pie shell.
