Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 5 medium sweet potatoes
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar or honey
crushed pineapple (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
nutmeg, cinnamon to taste
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes in jackets.
When done, slice and place in bowl.
Combine butter, sugars, pineapple, vanilla flavor together in pot.
Cook until syrupy.
Sprinkle sliced potatoes with nutmeg. Pour syrup over sliced sweet potatoes.
Bake in 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 oven until candied.
