Mazetti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 1/2 c. celery and leaves, chopped fine
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
    8 oz. pkg. fine egg noodles
    2 cans tomato soup
    1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms and liquid
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Brown meat in large skillet.
    Remove excess fat.
    Add celery, onions and garlic with 1 tablespoon water.
    Cover and steam until vegetables are tender.
    Cook the noodles and add to beef mixture. Mix in all other ingredients except cheese.
    Spread mixture in 2 1/2 or 3-quart casserole.
    Top with cheese.
    Put in a cold oven set at 350\u00b0.
    Bake, uncovered, about 1 hour or until bubbling. (Freezes well.)
