Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. ripe tomatoes
    4 medium onions, cut up
    4 medium bell peppers, cut up
    60 jalapeno peppers, cut up
    8 cloves garlic, cut up
    2 c. vinegar
    4 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. sugar
    4 tsp. oregano
    4 tsp. cumin
    4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes and chop up fine. Add peppers (both kinds), onions, vinegar, salt, sugar and garlic.
    Simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.
    Stir in oregano, cumin and cayenne pepper.
    Put in sterilized jars and water bath for 15 minutes in boiling water. Makes approximately 6 1/2 quarts.
