Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 box powdered sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. plain flour, sifted
    pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, cream of tartar, soda, salt and vanilla. Add flour a little at a time. Mix well. Chill. Roll dough into small marble-size balls.
    Place onto greased silver cookie sheet. Place pecan half on top of each cookie. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until done.
