Cube Steak And Onion Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. cube steaks
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/2 c. beef bouillon
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    2 Tbsp. cream or milk
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    On a piece of waxed paper, mix flour and salt.
    Coat meat pieces.
    Melt margarine in large heavy skillet.
    Add meat and brown on both sides.
    Transfer meat to covered baking dish.
    Add onion to skillet and saute briefly.
    Spoon over meat.
    Stir any leftover flour into skillet and blend in bouillon.
    Add thyme and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce boils and thickens slightly. Pour over meat.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours, until very tender. Gravy Master may be added to darken gravy, if desired.
