Golden Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. sifted enriched flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. oil or shortening
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients into a bowl.
Add milk, egg and oil or shortening.
Beat with mixer until smooth, about one minute.
Bake either in pan or muffin tins in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes.
