Congealed Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cups pretzels, crushed
1-1/2 sticks butter, melted
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
2 cups cool whip
2 10-oz. pkgs. frozen strawberries
2 3-oz. pkgs. strawberry jello
2 cups hot water
Preparation

Mix pretzel crumbs with melted butter.
Spread evenly in 9 x 13 pan.
Bake 10 min. at 350 degrees.
Let cool.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, fold in whipped topping.
Spread over crumbs and refrigerate.
Blend strawberries with gelatin that has been dissolved in hot water.
Refrigerate until slightly thickened.
Spread over cheese mixture and return to refrigerator and chill until firm.
Cut into squares to serve. Makes 15 servings.
