English Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium red onion, sliced thin
    1 1/2 c. half and half
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. peas with pearl onions
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter. Add pepper. Cook 5 minutes. Add flour until blended. Slowly add half and half. Cook 1 minute. Add peas with onions. Add salt and nutmeg. Heat until warm.
