Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. sliced cucumbers
    1/2 onion, sliced
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. each: mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric
Preparation
    Mix cucumbers and onion.
    Heat other ingredients to boiling. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
    Then pour the liquid over the cucumber mixture and let set until cool.
    Store in the refrigerator for 7 days before using.
    Keep refrigerated.
