Patio Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 to 1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    chicken (thighs are best)
    1 soup can water
    1 can button mushrooms, drained
    3/4 envelope dry onion soup mix
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Sprinkle raw rice evenly in bottom of 12 x 9-inch baking dish. Cover with dry onion soup mix.
    Arrange chicken pieces on top. Combine soup, water and pepper; pour over chicken.
    Add mushrooms. Cover.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove cover; brush with butter and bake 10 to 20 minutes longer until chicken is brown.
