Aunt Alice'S Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
    2 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients until crumbly.
    Reserve 1 cup crumbs. Combine molasses, boiling water and baking soda.
    Add to crumbs; pour batter in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Top with 1 cup reserved crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
