Bernice Hagata'S Cowboy Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 (1 lb. 13 oz. each) cans tomatoes
    1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans, drained
    2 c. cubed potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in small amount of cooking oil until tender.
    Add ground beef; cook until well browned, breaking up with fork as it cooks.
    Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and chili powder; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add kidney beans, potatoes and corn; simmer 15 more minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
